Description
Flat, amorphous mummy bundle wrapped in light linen.

Radiographs show Complete mummy bundle containing the semi-articulated skeleton of a mature cat. There is considerable disruption in the thoraco-lumbar region and the upper limbs are disarticulated at the elbow. Some area of the skeleton are hard to view on the images due to superimposition. There is an opacity in the torso region which could be resin or a package. The spine has been bent during the mummification process and there are no visible signs that the neck has been broken. There is no evidence of a skull, but the bundle is incomplete so likely once a complete individual. Loose bandages holding the two halves of the bundle together. CT shows there appears to be a resinous substance coating the animal remains prior to wrapping in linen.
