Description
Unwrapped crocodile mummy measuring 1.6m long. Evidence of a black coating poured directly onto the animal remains and some linen adhering to the body, indicating it was once wrapped. It is bow-shaped, presumably how the body was positioned during mummification.

Radiographs and CT show a complete and articulated Crocodylus niloticus (Nile Crocodile) with an estimated age at death of 5 years. Spinal column appears to be intact with no fractures. Ball shaped mass in the stomach with dense opacities and granular fragments. Linear transparency in occipital region and disruption of what is thought to be the peri-orbital bone. Evidence of fractures with fragments of bone anterially which may be mandible or maxilla. Evidence of post-mortem tooth loss. Damage to the skull could represent cause of death.
