AEABB71
Description
A complete crocodile mummy bundle with a plain, dark brown head and a stylised body with a decorative pattern on the upper aspect. There is evidence of plant material in the gaps in the wrappings.
Radiographs and CT show Evidence of four crocodylus niloticus (Nile Crocodile) maxilla laid longitudinally. First and third slightly larger than second and fourth. Evidence of a partial hatchling skeleton (proximal) lying on top of maxilla. CT shows four skulls, four hatchling bodies and two eggs. Reeds visible laid longitudinally. The false head is made up of a single, thick reed which protrudes from the rest of the contents to the end of the bundle and was the core around which the head was modelled.
