Description
A complete crocodile mummy bundle wrapped in light brown linen. Linen string was applied in a circular motion around the bundle to secure the linen wrappings, and is denser at the proximal and distal ends.

Radiographs show the mummy bundle is fabricated from longitudinal plant material (reed) collected together to form a 'crocodile mummy' shape. There is a small ovoid bundle in the centre of the plant material behind the 'head' of the mummy bundle, containing skeletal remains in a coiled position. It is thought that these are likely to be reptilian, although the remains are not very radiodense. This is suggestive of a juvenile individual, although the exact identification remains uncertain at present. CT does not add anything to the radiographic report.
