EXTERNAL APPEARANCE
Conical shaped bundle with numerous layers of bandages, solid piece of background linen with applique ibis decoration. Bandaging is frayed and the contents feel loose and mobile. Hole visible, black layer underneath and bone visible.

Ptolemaic. "...no dedicatory or inscriptions were found in the galleries themselves, in contrast to the catacombs of the falcons, baboons and cows…neither did the bird mummies or their containers yield any material of chronological value." (Martin 1981, 7)
