Description
Plain and tightly wrapped complete bird mummy bundle. The head of the bundle is quite flat with the upper beak missing and the lower beak damaged. Dark patches are visible - possibly the application of resinous coatings.

Radiographs show a complete and articulated skeleton of a mature Falco tinnunculus (Kestrel). CT shows there is no visible brain matter in the cranial cavity. There is evidence for residual internal organ matter in abdominal cavity. A radiodense package in the pelvic region is present, which measures 13.7mm in the sagittal plane by 10.9mm in coronal plane. The beak mandible is intact but the maxilla is damaged and the end is lost. There is a radiodense layer around the body which suggests that the body was coated in a resinous substance.
